This just goes to show that Youtube can be a great place to just have fun or to begin a career. There is no shortage of funny videos on youtube, just type in something that sounds funny, and you'll find yourself pulling an all nighter. It is super duper easy to make a youtube account and post videos, in fact Eric and I posted one in the winter about skiing. You can see it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ho-G5bbMhI. It's on Erics account, and he has many other cool videos i encourage you to watch.

O is for the Olympics
The Olympics are one of my favourite things to watch of all time. One reason is that there are not nearly as many T.V. commercial breaks. Another reason is that there is the joy of watching your country hopefully do well. Thirdly is that there is a lot of not so popular sports which are really cool to see and learn them. Although people only want to watch the sports they like, i think it is so much fun to see different sports. Like the speed skating team pursuit, it is an amazing sport. Two teams start on the same place in the middle of the ice, except on different sides, and you try to chase each other. Whoever crosses the line fastest compared to the other team wins, but it's the last person that stops the time. I thought that was really cool.
Here is some back round information about the Olympics. The Olympic Games are an international multi-sporting event, held every four years. It is sub-divided into two sporting events - summer sporting events and winter sporting events. The first Olympics were in Athens, Greece in 1896. Ancient Greece was the birthplace of the Olympics. A man named Heracles thought of the Olympics, he was from Greece.
LIFE LESSON: In the Olympics watch every sport that your home country is in, and as much more as you can.

R is for the red hot chili peppers
The red hot chili peppers are my favourite band. Not many people like the red hot chili peppers, but they are one of my favourite bands. The band includes Anthony Kiedis, Michael "flea" Balzary as the bassist and Chad Smith as the drummer. For most of the time the band was around John Frusciante was the lead guitarist. The group originally had the guitarist Hillel Slovak and drummer Jack Irons.
The red hot chili peppers are my favourite band, because they are a band that have many really good songs and not just one. They're also my favourite because of the guitar in all of the songs, and they're range of different types of songs. Such as fast songs or slow and sensitive ones. The red hot chili peppers also have a great logo (such as the one above) and a cool band name. The peppers have many great albums but my favourite would be Stadium Arcadium, partly because of the song Dani California, which is on my top 3 favourite songs. The peppers are a great band in my mind, because it is a very original band. Not many bands are the same genre as the peppers and if they are they suck.
LIFE LESSON: You can like any music you want, make sure that the Red Hot Chili Peppers are in your top 3.

Z is for Zoolander
Zoolander was made on September 29, 2001 nationwide. Zoolander made $45,162,741 at the U.S box office. Zoolander is a movie where you are either a DIE HARD FAN or a person that hates the movie. I would be one of the die hard fans. Most of my family is a die hard fan, except for mom.. She thinks it's stupid. Not many of my friends think it's funny either. I have heard that there is hopefully going to be a Zoolander 2, i'm pretty excited for that. I have no clue what would happen though, because Zoolander's enemy was caught in the end. Either way im sure it will be awesome.
LIFE LESSON: love these 5 syllables, De-rek-Zoo-land-ER

W for world disasters
Some recent disasters in the past 20 years. These are some events. In 1990 a 7.7 earthquake hit northwest Iran, which killed at least 50 000. In 1991 Bangladesh suffered a flood which resulted in 139 000 deaths. 1995-98 a famine and flood occured in North Korea resulting in over 3 million dead. Iran, 2003 an earquake happened killing 26 271 people. An earthquake, 9.0 and the resulting tsunami, one of the WORST world disasters. It majorly affected Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Maldives, Somalia, Tanzania, Seychelles, Bangladesh and Andaman. This tragedy resulted in 285 000 deaths. The most recent disaster was in Haiti. This earthquake so far has killed 100 000 and still counting.
It is so sad that these terrible events happen and humans cannot do anything about it. So many families have been ripped apart from these disasters. One of the worst things about these things is that these tsunami's and earthquakes hit some of the poorest places in the world. Such as Haiti, they were one of the poorest places in the world with barely anything and then get a disaster such as this. People all over are helping people in Haiti and are still helping. Canada is a big donor to relief efforts all over the world.

S is for Steroids.
Im sure that who ever made steroids had the best intentions. Since they don't allow it in sports it has become horrible. If it were allowed in sports steroids would be a great thing to most people, although it just makes you stronger that can be the difference in what house you live in, what car you have and much more. I think it's a good thing that steroids isn't allowed in sports, because it can say that someone is good, but it doesn't show true talent if you are all buff from pills.
Steroids can be the worst thing for atheletes. Like Tiger Woods it could make you loose SO MANY sponsors, and money. It might sound like I think that money is all that atheletes want, but for some it is just the love for a sport. These people that play at a professional level really are the people that should represent the sport. These are the people that most people look up to, not people that cheat their way into fame.
LIFE LESSON: never Ever EVER use steroids.

Connor
Connor started to play rugby in grade 10 and he loved the sport. We are half Irish, so he had heard of it before and wanted to try it. He tried basketball in grade 9 but he didnt like it as much as rugby. He played rugby for Fergus in the summer. He met alot of friends there and he traveled all over the place. I once saw him play at Laurier and it was really cool, because Mr.Katsube is one of the football coaches there.
Connor was born in London, Ontario same as me, in 1991. He asked for a baby brother for Christmas when he was six but he sort of regrets it now. I think he thought it would be cool if he had a brother to hang around with, but he just never had the same interests as me, because of the 6 year age difference. I think that when he became around the teenager age he liked to have a little brother to pick on.
LIFE LESSON= If you have an older brother or sister don't hate them, because you'll regret it when they move away.
