Eva Olsson holocaust presentation

A holocaust survivor, Eva Olsson came to our school to tell her exciting tale, full of gruesome and terrible things. She was an excellent speaker, apparently she has spoken all over the place to other people and told them of her different journeys. She explained what terrible things she witnessed, and experienced. She started off giving a message, that you should never say the word hate, because that is how millions of jews died.

She said that she was shipped in a cable car to Germany with 100-110 people per car. They only got 2 buckets, 1 for a washroom and 1 for water bucket for 1 car. Many people died in there, but none of her family died in there. The survivors that got out of the car then went into a large line where they would be ordered to go left or right. Eva went right, luckily she had a chance to live, if you had to go left you would be sent into the gas chambers. Eva's mother went left and she never saw her mother again, she lost her mother at the age of 19.

In the end she lost her whole family except her sister. When she went to sweden she met a man who asked her to dance, and she ended up marrying him, despite the language barrier. Many terrible things have happened to this lady, and she says that hate caused it all to happen. Ontop of the holocaust at the age of 38 Eva Olsson lost her husband, in a car accident, because of drunk driving. Eva Olsson has gone through many things, and she still managed to talk about it.

Middle School team building day

I think our team was good at making all the activities fun and including everyone. We worked well as a team, and tried as hard as we could to finish the task. Some times we failed, but we still tried are hardest. We were good at all the low ropes, and balance. The activity when you had to get the tire off of the 10 foot pole, we didn't solve it, but we had some REALLY good ideas, and techniques.

There weren't many things are team didn't do well at, but one that comes to mind is when you had to get to a different platforms across wire ropes. It was difficult, because some platforms didnt have ropes on them. We had to communicate for plans to give ropes to other people, so we had to think about others and not just yourself. Another thing is on the low ropes we were good sometimes and bad sometimes. Sometimes people wouldn't wait for other people and they would just go off with thier own rope and then the person behind wouldnt get the rope.

Overall it was a fun place to be, and a good way to meet all the new kids that come to the school and learn about them. The drum circle was a cool and new thing to me. The room was completely filled with drums, sticks, wooden frogs and ofcourse drums. The leader was very hyper and energetic, and skilled with drums. After my hands must have been purple from beating my hand on a drum, overall Norval was a fun place.

does clothing shape who i am?

Clothing can say alot about people, and who they are. It can say where their from or what religion they practise, but clothing shouldn't affect how people feel about themselves, or what other people think about you. Clothing shouldn't shape who someone is, because it isn't all about what people wear, well it shouldn't

Some people judge other people by what they wear when they first meet, which doesn't mean anything, because they dont know their personality, yes it might make you feel good about yourself when your wearing the height of fashion, but some people focus too much on their clothes and not how they act or anything like that. Also wear different things based on religion which is what they believe in, and people shouldn't think they are weird. People should dress the way they want.

When a new fashion arises alot of people are rushing to get it, dont get me wrong, fashion isn't a bad thing, but it's a want, not a need and for some people they can't get that, and they feel bad, because they see other people in the latest style, but what no one sees is the personality.
